About Anne Cabot Wyman

Growing up in a Boston blueblood family, Anne’s adventures extended far beyond New England. After losing her mother at age 13, Anne grew up to follow in the footsteps of a father who raised her at a distance but who instilled in her a passion for following the path less traveled. She has most recently authored Kipling's Cat: A Memoir of My Father, and edited both Alaska Journal and Letters from Japan, bringing the impassioned and analytical voice of her father, Jeffries Wyman, to life for scientists and history buffs alike.

Much like her father's varied career, Anne has enjoyed many different directions along the way, including life as a painter, aviator, and prizewinning travel writer and chief editorialist for the Boston Globe for nearly 30 years.

Anne has twice been recognized by the Pulitzer prizes—first through her editorial leadership that contributed to the Boston Globe's receipt of the coveted Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, in 1975, and then, 5 years later, cited as a finalist in competition for the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing.

Anne lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
